Mont Blanc Rally 2012 comes to Morzine 6-8th September 2012
- This weekend the 6-8th September 2012 the 64th Mont Blanc Rally is coming to Morzine again. This event has been happening in Morzine for the last 20 years. Each year the Rally passes over the Col de Joux Plane and Col de la Joux Verte before continuing over the Cote d’Arbroz. These mountain passes also form part of the Tour de France route every few years when it passes through Morzine (most recently in 2010).
The rally is part of the French Championships and has several stages in and around Morzine over the three days. There is a start/finish podium in the centre of town and you can see all the cars and drivers right in the middle of the town square. The teams have secure quarters and technical areas in Morzine too.You can watch the rally from anywhere at the edges of the mountain passes but will need to walk up as the roads are closed to the public during this event.For more information about the French rally calendar take a look at the official website here //www.rallye-sport.fr/
